My daughter has an Acer Aspire laptop also, and after reading Ariel's comment I felt compelled to write. This is not the first person I've heard that complained to Acer about their screen. A co-worker did the same,contacted Acer etc. all to be told she must have "caused the damage" by dropping it or otherwise. This is a bunch of nonsense and Acer needs to own up and correct this problem. I too feel that it's not worth suing over, mostly cost wise, so I guess their counting on everyone feeling this way. In the end, a new laptop would be the cheaper route too go.
