Dell Inspiron For Watching Movies

by Matt
(Diamondhead, MS)

I have a Dell Inspiron E1505 and I'm happy with it overall, but there is one issue potential buyers should consider. It doesn't work well for viewing movies.

There have been several instances when I tried to watch a movie and got a blue screen error. You could see it coming because the picture would freeze and the sound would skip, and then the blue screen of death would appear.

I didn't contact Dell about the problem because it wasn't that big of a deal. I can watch a movie on a regular DVD player, and the laptop is just fine for Internet, work, and video games.
