A Glimpse at the Possible Dell Laptop Problems That You May Have

When purchasing electronic products like Dell laptops, you naturally will want to be aware of the possible problems that you may encounter when using the gadget later on.

Although there is a specific period when the repairs for the laptop will be covered under the warranty, it still pays to learn about the possible Dell laptop problems that you may have.

Possible Dell Laptop Problems

Let’s take the line of Inspiron laptops from Dell for example. Whether you’re a student or an employee, your first laptop purchase usually isn't going to be top-of-the-line.

The Dell Inspiron series is an entry-level product for the budget conscious buyers who would still want to get the best value for their money.

So what are the Dell laptop problems that you may encounter if you have a model from the Inspiron line?

The Inspiron 5150 model in particular is one which is prone to overheating. This is mainly because of the location of the airflow at the bottom of the system. The result is overheating, damage to the video card, problems with the motherboard or automatic shut down issues.

Users also experienced problems with the motherboard and battery recall problems with the Inspiron, Latitude, XPS and Precision Models.

Other Dell Problems Based On User Experiences

Based on the experience of Dell laptop users themselves, there are also some 17” Inspiron and XPS units which have a manufacturing defect with the LCD.

Although this type of Dell laptop problem showed up after about a couple of years’ use, the consumers found it difficult to seek help from the company itself, saying that the defective parts came from their suppliers.

Other problems include the typical ‘illnesses’ that most laptop computers get subject to.

Issues with starting up the system, freezing software, start up errors and the dreaded blue screen. The good news is that if you’re one of those who purchased a unit from a Dell outlet, you can still get the same level of support as if you purchased a brand new laptop directly from Dell.

At the end of the day, no matter what type of Dell laptop problems it is that you will experience, what is important is to always check if the unit is still under warranty. If not, you can go through the basic troubleshooting steps – or better yet, have the unit checked by a professional technician.
