If you want your laptop to be able to hold all of your songs and videos and Dell is having a free 120GB hard drive upgrade, then you may want to go with Dell. The same goes for an HP promotion. Because these laptop brands have proven time and time again their quality, it may be wise to simply decide based on who has the better promotion at the time. Difference In LooksOne noticeable difference between Dell vs HP is their looks. Dell tends to have a standard look while HP has a more glossy look. For the most part, more people feel that HP has "better-looking" laptops. But you also hear reports that their shiny look is more prone to fingerprint marks. Which makes you have to clean the outside a lot more. What matters most though is what you want. For some people, looks are important. And for others not so much. Just know that if looks are important, but you don't want to clean fingerprint marks all the time then Dell may be a better options.
