Did You Know You Can Download NES Games Right To Your Laptop?
Yes it's true! You can download NES games and play them whenever you wish. And the best thing of all, it's free and it doesn't take up any space on your hard drive. There is basically two steps to be able to play these games... First, you need to download something called an emulator. This is kind of like having the console on your laptop. There is always heated debate among gamers as to what is the best emulator. I'm not sure why though. By far the best and easiest to use is Rock NES. Once you download the emulator, you have to download the games! The games you will want to download are called ROMS. There are hundreds of sites out there that you can download ROMS. And many of these sites are filled with spam and junk. Using site advisor, I came across a really good site called Vimm.net It's by far the best place to download games. Once you get there, click on The Vault. This is where you can download hundreds of NES games. If you save them to your desktop, all you have to do is drag the game into the Rock NES icon and the game will begin playing! And Don't Stop There! Once you get really addicted to playing these games on your laptop, you are going to be begging to have the controller with it. The best and cheapest way to get an NES controller is eBay. It plugs right into your laptop and is ready to play immediately.
